Meditation: Love With Recourse = Life Without Remorse

Reflection: Receive The Love Of God

And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. Luke 10:27

Love is underrated. Love is so special and needed. You desire love. Yet, you don’t always give it out. Maybe you’ve had those times when you felt hurt or used, or maybe you were the one on the side of causing the pain or turmoil. Either way, you needed someone to love you. Instead, someone came and abused you, misused you, talked about you, betrayed you. 

Concentration: Words Are More Powerful Than You Think

These are human frailties, sins that we commit upon each other, wrongdoings that we all suffer from. Derogatory words could definitely have an adverse effect on a person’s life. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me is not true. Words do hurt. You have probably been hurt by words in your life before.

I remember my fourth grade elementary school teacher, Ms Adams. She hated me! Everything I did was wrong to her, even though all of my grades were A plus. Her and my personality clashed greatly. I was a tad talkative, and I would finish my work early because God blessed me with intelligence. 

Thus, I would get into trouble often. Back in those days, in the mid to late 1980’s, we still had corporal punishment in schools, and yes, my Mama opted in. I received more than a few pops from Ms Adams with a wide, flat, wooden board. But the thing that hurt the most was when she, out of a fit of anger, told me,”You will never be a doctor.” This shattered me because my childhood dream was to become a medical doctor. 

I lived with those words lost within me for some time, until I was able to release them through prayer and meditation. Although, those words are not the reason I did not become a medical doctor, they did have an effect on my confidence in my ability to achieve what I wanted to become.

Focus: Letting The Love Of God Flow Through You

I have been disappointed, upset, discouraged by the lack of love that I wanted to receive from people that were not able to give it to me. You can’t give what you don’t have. How are you going to give love if you don’t have it? If you don’t have love, how are you going to get it? That’s also a good question. How are you going to give love if you don’t have it? How are you going to get love? 

I have God’s love. Love Again LA is about spreading God’s love in many ways unimaginable. That’s where love begins. Because God’s love flows into romantic love, the love you have for your husband, the love you have for your wife, the love you have for your children, the love you have for your parents all come from the love of God that issues forth from His being in massive waves of rushing foamy, rushing foam. 

Just a few people come in and receive themselves in those foamy waves enough. I’m using these ocean waves as an analogy of God’s love, coming over someone. In the meditation, I’m extending my love to you, I exposed such a concept of receiving love through me, having been a person who has received a lot of love over many years, being able now to release love to others. This is what love looks like, the ability to release what you have been given without shame, but recourse to love.
