Meditation: Share God’s Love When Feeling Low
Reflection: Selfishness or Selflessness?
As I was attempting to listen and understand this meditation, maybe I’m not feeling 100% today, but that doesn’t give me the right to put my selfishness instead of selflessness onto others when they may need help themselves. That life really isn’t all about me. Giving to others also reaps rewards like in Luke 6:38, Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Concentration: Conviction Because of Self-Absorption
Maybe, it’s how I react to others. Maybe, it’s how I respond to others, how I interact and communicate with others. I must confess my sin. I had a really big lesson from the Lord today when riding the bus. There was a young lady who sat down opposite me. A couple of stops later she got off the bus, and I immediately felt convicted, like, ‘Oh, I should have said something to this lady about Love Again LA.’ Instead, I was self-absorbed thinking about the things I had to do that day.
Focus: Missed Opportunity to Love Leads to Diligence
I missed that opportunity because I was self-absorbed. I decided that I would not allow that opportunity to pass me by again. While going through my own struggles, that doesn’t give me the right to dismiss others and their needs and the love they need from God that I have been given. I must be more diligent in spreading love in Los Angeles and wherever I go.
