The Burning of a Venice Beach Big Beautiful Tree
I have heard the voice of the Lord since I was a little girl. That’s part of my Love Again LA journey, voyage, if you will. My coming to Los Angeles was the will of God I received through meditation. I’ll share more in my upcoming book on meditation, The Meditation Model, as the days go on. I decided to go to the ocean yesterday, and I believe my steps were ordered by the Lord. That’s in the Psalms, that he who is righteous, his steps are ordered by the Lord.
I traveled to Venice Beach and walked down the ocean. I felt the cold water on my feet, refreshing. The water was so beautiful, blue and green, clear, like an emerald, or an opal, the sparkles.
As I walked down the beach, the Lord spoke to me. He spoke to me about what I’m doing and what I should value more.
As I walked and walked down the beach on the soft sand splashing the waves, watching the people play, eventually I left the ocean. I walked down the street and came upon a tree. I love trees. I love these big, beautiful trees. I used to live by a huge live oak tree in New Orleans on Audubon Street. My apartment was next to Audubon Zoo, I could walk there, and this tree, so massive, this tree reminded me of the live oak in New Orleans.
This tree also reminded me of a tree I saw in Lahaina, a community the Lord sent me to in 2022 that burned down in 2023, when He told me to go to Hawaii and proclaim the word of the Lord. Here I am on Venice, Beach, and the Lord told me to proclaim His word again for this very tree that I was standing in front of, this big, beautiful tree.
He said, “this tree will be consumed, utterly consumed, it will be no more.” I thought, how, why? How is a beautiful tree like this going to burn and be no more? I don’t care to be the bearer of bad news. However, maybe it’s good news that we are forewarned and know of the things to come so that we can prepare accordingly, our hearts and our minds and our belongings and material goods and our wealth.
